What this notice covers
This website, ritualmediapro.com, its cookies, email you send me, and the HOT SET wishlist alert.
What I collect, and why
When you email me. Your email address and whatever you write, so I can reply and, if we work together, do the work. I keep these emails only as long as the enquiry or the work needs them, unless the law asks me to keep them longer.
The HOT SET wishlist alert. Your email address, and only if you type it into the sign-up form. I use it for one thing: one email on the day HOT SET's Steam page opens for wishlists. I send it because you asked for it (your consent). After you sign up you get a confirmation email; if you don't click its link, you're not added and you won't hear from me. Giving your email is optional: without it you simply don't get the alert. The alert is for people aged 16 or over.
Visits to this site. Squarespace, which runs the site, keeps basic statistics about visits. Google Analytics (visit statistics) sets its cookies only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner; until then it receives only a signal that a page was viewed, with no cookie or identifier that links your visits. Google Ads (whether my ads bring people here) runs only if you choose Accept.
Who handles your information
- Squarespace hosts this site, stores wishlist sign-ups and sends the confirmation email.
- Google checks the sign-up form for spam with reCAPTCHA, which looks at information about your device and how you use the page (Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply). On the day of the alert, Google Workspace and Google Groups deliver the one email. Google Analytics and Google Ads work as described above.
- Nobody else. I don't sell or share your information.
Where it's held
In the United States, by Squarespace and by Google. Squarespace and Google transfer it under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, and under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.
How long I keep it
- Wishlist alert: the list, the contacts and the email group are deleted 60 days after the one email, so that "remove me" requests keep working until then. The file used to send the email is deleted the same day. The date you confirmed your sign-up is kept with the list and deleted with it.
- Emails to me: as long as the enquiry or the work needs them.
Your choices
- Change your mind any time. Email info@ritualmediapro.com, or reply to the alert, and I'll remove you within 10 business days. The alert email also carries a link to leave the list yourself.
- Your rights. You can ask what I hold about you, and ask me to correct it, delete it or stop using it. If you're in the UK or the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
- Cookies. The banner lets you accept all, decline all or choose. Cookies the site needs to work, including the one that remembers your choice, are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you accept, and you can change your choice any time from the cookie settings at the bottom of the page.
- Do Not Track. This site doesn't change what it does for browser Do Not Track signals; the cookie banner is where you choose.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children. Please don't sign up for the HOT SET alert if you're under 16.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes too. I won't use your email address for anything new without asking you first.
